#jarobuys oil ...

... more oil ... well, i think oil is much to cheap, let's bet on that inefficiency of the financial markets :-)

of course, i think that damned oil is much too cheap for some time now, so i've just increased my existing positions, but i'm still down on all of that investments / trades ... hmmmm, you don't think mr. market is right and i'm wrong my dears, do you?

hell, my 2 warrants that expired in the middle of november were sold at a relative small profit (the win on the first warrant could overweight the total loss on the second, the more speculative one). so i have paid taxes on the profit and re-invested all the money again. wanna see how dangerous warrant / options trades are? if you are right on the chosen combination of strike price and time, you make some money as i did a year ago, but if you are wrong, your options will be worthless at their respective expiry dates and you are going to lose all your money invested ... so be really careful, my dears and believe me, there really is a good reason why warren buffett calls derivates the financial weapons of mass destruction which means you can massively destroy your own account :-)

as for now, the performance of my call options is really poor, but there is still some hope for my derivative vehicles as their expiry dates range between november 2013 and november 2015 and their strike prices range between $85 and $115 per barrel.

go, oil trades go :-)

gaza ~ it isn't a war, it is murder of defenseless civilians ;-( + noam chomsky

november 2015: noam chomsky about what is wrong in our system:
source youtube
~~~
addendum july 2014, the ugly genocide in gaza continues ... so sad :-((( ... btw, why do the muslim nations not unite? why do they watch how are they destroyed one by one instead? iraq, afghanistan, libya, mali, syria, palestine ... any idea out there?
gaza july 2014, source: here
why to stop wars, genocide and the like?
maybe because we just have ONE planet for all of us? source here
is there any hope out there? source here
unfortunately, the reality looks different: #1 israel ~ what a show? i hate you, you damned bastards, source here
unfortunately, the reality looks different: #2 palestine ~ bombed civilian areas all over the horizon ;-( source here
reality #3, source here
why do i write about the genocide on palestinians in gaza? even if the issue is so sad, let's hope there will be a reader or two who really can do something against it ...
well, the whole 'jews / israel issue' is reported only from the pro-israel perspective in our corrupt mainstream media, the dangerous hamas with their few laughable rockets which btw didn't kill a single israeli citizen in 2012 ...
friends, don't believe there is a war in gaza yet. war is the case when an army fights an another army. gaza and palestine as well has no air force, no navy, no air defense, no army .... it is not a war, air strikes on the (one of the) most densely inhabited stripes on earth is a murder on civilians, it is genocide on the palestinian nation, it is a fascist act done by a former fascist victim nation israel (hell, how fast can the things change, can't they?) and a fascist act tolerated by the western 'elites' ... so sad ;-( ....
friends, we shouldn't accept this! let's do something against that ~ let's OccupyWallStreet, OccupyYourStreet, OccupyTogether, RealDemocracyNow ... PEACE NOW
source here
one more cartoon? here we go:
source: here
source here
it is not war, it is murder (noam chomsky on israels attacks on gaza): ... The Israeli decision to rain death and destruction on Gaza, to use lethal weapons of the modern battlefield on a largely defenseless civilian population, is the final phase in a decades-long campaign to ethnically-cleanse Palestinians.
Israel uses sophisticated attack jets and naval vessels to bomb densely-crowded refugee camps, schools, apartment blocks, mosques, and slums to attack a population that has no air force, no air defense, no navy, no heavy weapons, no artillery units, no mechanized armor, no command in control, no army… and calls it a war. It is not a war, it is murder. ... please read the full article: http://notlurking.com/www.salem-news.com/a/57OJ
so what to do? of course, let's try to weaken israel (not to buy any israeli products), show solidarity with palestinians (demos all over the world), but if you asked me, the only hope for the planet is when we finally crash our current military-industrial complex => let's OccupyWallStreet, OccupyYourStreet, OccupyTogether, RealDemocracyNow ... let's awake my dears, FREEDOM + PEACE NOW
if people united cannot be defeated => peace. source here
#14N
#14N = whole spain in the streets? btw, why do we germans still wait at home till our economy is completely knocked down? are we really that ignorant + stupid?
speech of spanish delegation in munich
we have been about 300 people in munich today
european solidarity? general strike? (source: here)
yes, my dears, let's show our support to the hundreds of thousands protesters in greece, spain, portugal ... let's go in the streets again :o)
well, the #14N will be a wednesday and thus more difficult to manage than the usual weekend demos because of all our day-to-day issues, but let's try it anyway.
OccupyWallStreet + OccupyYourStreet + OccupyTogether => let's create a better honest + sustainable world => #unitedforglobalchange + #RealDemocracyNow => see you in the streets :-)
why all of that? easy, because ...
stupid, more stupid, most stupid, stock market investors :-)
addendum december 27, 2012: stupidity is not a singlei investment issue, you know? when in fear (or greedy) investors/traders drive many markets in the same direction at the same time ... just look what happend today after some unimportant economy confidence analysis hit the market today ... pure panic :-(
~~~
my silver miners from idaho, Coeur d'Alene Mines Corporation (CDE), missed some stupid analysts expectations, reported a loss of $15.8m for the last quarter ... so far so good ..

what did the markets today?

5 days trading range + volume

hello, the company lost $15m, the stock is down 20%, the market cap is down $400+ million => hello again, mr. market? btw, that's the corresponding news release

stupid, more stupid, most stupid, stock market investors ??? please wake up, my dear homo sapiens financialis and yes, please start thinking for yourself ...

well, let's bet that this downturn is a little bit too much for a small 3Q loss for a still profitable company (on a yearly basis) and let's buy few shares tomorrow :-)

addendum, day #1: well, i've got some CDE shares on market opening at $24.69. the stock increased +8.17% today, the closing quote is $26.07. not bad for 1 day, if you asked me. what do you think, my dear mr. market? who was right and who was wrong yesterday? hmmmm :-)

same issue, different story ~ why i don't like investors/traders :-)

investor lunch with golden predator (TSX:GPD)

the golden predator guys + girls presented their company in munich today and yes, i liked it :-)
unlike the last few presentations, i'm going to post my insights on the company this time:
  • yukon's upcoming gold producer as the brewery creek mine is going to start production in 2014. what if not? well, then they still could brew beer and sell it to other miners in the area, couldn't they? lol
  • portfolio of gold royalties in nevada which generates approximately $ 1m a year and could / should generate more as the underlying mines start and/or ramp up their production. the whole royalty business could become a future spin-off as a independent compan, who knows?
  • quite well financed up to the start of own gold production, no need to raise capital at present so depressed stock price level
  • some other assets out there as well, like an old mill in nevada, share packages in 2 or 3 other companies, few early stage gold projects besides brewery creek etc. and so fort
  • what else? hmmm, there was that positive guts feeling issue, you see? i liked many things the CEO william sheriff said: generating cash is the most important issue (many explorer companies still try to increase their reserves / resources even if since 2008 mr. market doesn't value it at all), he prefers to under promise & over deliver, he wants to run the company as a business (profitable!), moved the headquarters from hyper expensive vancouver / canada to silver valley in idaho / usa ... unfortunately, i'm both too lazy + too stupid to check out how many shares he has bought in the last few years and at which price, but i think on average he has paid more than me today (damn, is anyone who's less lazy + less stupid than me going to send me a link to the corresponding insiders' trading reports?)
  • cheap like an unwanted pet, the current price is close to the lowest levels in the last 5 years. will they go bankrupt when the current mining markets continues their ugly downturn? hell, i do not think so, they are already fairly close to (profitable) production and there are still the royalties. the gold price is not going to fall below &1,000 per ounce, is it?
  • what to do? as for me, the same procedure as so often: i've bought few shares today, subscribed for company's newsletter and thus i'm going to follow their development
bill sheriff mentioned also few companies which are somehow connected to golden predator or its directors via some equity investments the one way or the other:
  • my struggling silver producer alexco resources and golden predators neighbor in the yukon territories in canada
  • silver predator (TSX:SPD)
  • wolfpack gold (private company as for now)
  • redtail metals (TSX.V:RTZ) ~ very early stage precious + base metals explorer in the yukon with very low trading volume right now. it is a company i will look closer at and probably buy few shares if i will find some money and not forget to do so ... well, let's link the predator group's website for fast access here
good luck, my lovely golden predator fighters, good luck :-)

addendum november 8th: i've just bought few shares of redtail metals. too expensive as often because i don't want to wait for a cheap(er) price, but compared to the price level we have had months ago still very cheap (CAD 0.13 per share. 28% more expensive than 1 day ago). there is not much volume out there and especially not many sellers, so it is a long term play and i have to hope the management makes the company a succcess and this will creates some market for the share trading as well :-)

so what about my investments in november? well, i'm trying to tell the temporary mining market bottom and to be fully invested for the upcoming rally, thus i've used my margin up to the tilt, you know? good luck my lovely commodity plays, good luck :-)
go gold bugs go and let's crash this fraudulent fiat money system now :o)

addendum november 27th: i've just bought few more shares of redtail metals + golden predator. redtail at CAD 0.095 and predator at CAD 0.30 per share at market opening. hell, the overwhelming fear in the mining stocks market makes every new purchase cheap. anyway, after more than 1 and half years of correction (the peak was the gold @ $1,900 and silver at $50 per ounce event in may 2011 i think) the mining stocks should / could / would finally go up, wouldn't you say?

munich gold show

the next munich gold show is ante portas, my dears => go gold bugs go and let's crash the fraudulent fiat money system now :-)
golden buddha as a symbol for my faith that the most of my gold / silver / energy / commodities investments will turn out well? well, this buddha is probably not really made of gold, but the future of (most of) my investment decisions really is, you know? hell, i'll maybe look for the golden buddha in my thailand pictures at the weekend, but if not successful i don't think i would look for + digitalize + upload pictures we have made 20 years ago during our 1st visit to thailand ;o)

official information about the edelmetallmesse-event like place, time, speakers, exhibitors and the like is HEREof course, i will be the full 2 days (friday / saturday) there and post some insights, pictures as the time passes by :-). see you there?

what about a quote? gold mine is a hole in the ground with a liar at the top ~ mark twain
why did i tell you this? well, mining success is often about people, you know? so let's show you the management of few of my most important portfolio companies
in the middle keith neumeyer; CEO first majestic silver, my number 1 position by current market value thanks to the stellar company & share price development, acquired in many 'shots' between july 2007 and september 2012. the other 2 guys are richard mayr from argentuminvest + myself, of course
peter hawley, CEO scorpio mining + CEO scorpio gold. well, scorpio mining is my second biggest position right now and the biggest in terms of initial money invested. they have had huuuuge problems as the share price dropped from above CAD 2 below 0.5 this summer and then the founder + former CEO peter took over the company leadership again, the share price today? CAD 1.15 ... well, better than nothing :-)
on the right david hodge, CEO of the zimtu group (zimtu capital corp + commerce resources + western potash + equitas resources + strike graphite + ...)

there have been many many interesting presentations, the one i liked most was the by the famous trend forecaster gerald celente, but i also really liked philipp vorndran, uwe bergold, ralf borgsmüller, rolf nef  and max otte
gerald celente (as i could remember his words, later i will probably upload also 1-3 short videos at youtube, as for now i hope the organisers will upload all speeches to internet themselves): capitalism is dead. we have no capitalism anymore. in capitalism, there would be no bailout of banks like in 2008. we have a merger of state and corporate power, that's the definition of fascism. with our actions today we shape the future/trends of tomorrow ... thus do your best, my dears ... and yes, we can change the future and yes, our impact matters ... thanks gerald for these words, the most people do believe they are too small & to meaningless in order to change anything :-)

of, course i'm not superstitious at all, but as every year i have bought a silver coin with the chinese zodiac sign for the next year in order to bring me some luck at the markets and also few other coins, why not? anyway, welcome 2013, the year of the snake
australian + armenian + somalian silver investment coins

damn, let's show you also the prettiest side of the gold show: hostesses, lotteries, souvenirs and the like. can you imagine that there are folks out there who measure a state of a particular market (segment) by the so called hostess factor? easy, the more hostesses and the more naked they are at a related fair, the more preceded is that market. believe me, there is no bubble in gold, silver and mining stocks yet :-)
tombola at the sigorex newsletter writers group

well, i've also increased my stakes in following companies in november:

btw, my coverage of the last year's event is here :-)
